The Mutants take home the Mark Award for “Walking Wounded” – best rock track, they say. The Production Music Association’s Mark Awards honours the achievements of the production music community, and were awarded last night in Los Angeles. We couldn’t be more honoured!
Mutants founder members Chris Constantinou and Paul Frazer, plus Rat Scabies, are taking a break from the Mutants moniker to for some fresh new projects.
Paul Frazer is busy with his band Black Futures (signed to Sony Music Entertainment).
CC and Rat are working on a new project to be recorded with Oliver Straus at Mission Sound in New York. This project will feature several amazing guests. Band name and new socials to be revealed soon!
CC will also continue his work with Killer Tracks/Universal LA as a featured writer – a position he’s held since 2007. Additionally, CC has been working with Hal Lindes from Dire Straits, as well as continuing his guest work with bands such as The Dandy Warhols.
Rat Scabies is working on his own projects/releases and, as mentioned, an all-new project with CC
So it’s not goodbye but a gentle adios from the Mutants…for now anyway. 😈
